Spaghetti with sardines and red pepper

Drain the sardines and collect the oil. Heat some sardine oil and fry the onion, red pepper and garlic for about 3 minutes.

Add the tomato paste and bake for about 2 minutes.

Add half of the sardines. Cook the spaghetti al dente.

Roast the bread crumbs in a dry hot frying pan and spoon in the parsley.

Drain the spaghetti. Spoon the spaghetti lightly through the sardine mixture, place the remaining sardines on top and sprinkle with the bread crumbs. Garnish with wedges of lemon.
