Spareribs with onion marmalade

Directions

  1. Make sure the spareribs are at room temperature. Chop the onion, finely chop the garlic and grate the ginger.
  2. Heat the olive oil in a pan with a thick bottom. Smother the onion with garlic covered in ten minutes very soft glassy.
  3. Stir in the ginger, thyme, balsamic vinegar, sugar, salt and freshly ground black pepper.
  4. Cook over a very low heat in 10-20 minutes until a nice marmalade, stir regularly.
  5. Toast the spareribs on a hot barbecue in 20-30 minutes nicely browned and cooked, turn them regularly.
  6. Cut off the ribs and serve with onion marmalade.
