Speculaas minks with nuts
A tasty Dutch recipe. The dessert contains the following ingredients: wholemeal wheat flour (1 kg pack), baking powder, biscuit and gingerbread spices (20 g), dark brown caster sugar, cold butter, egg (split), pine nuts, garnish almonds, hazelnuts and pecans.

Mix the flour, the baking powder, the herbs, the sugar and a pinch of salt in a bowl. Cut the butter through 2 knives. Add the egg white and knead into a smooth dough. Form a ball and place in the refrigerator for one hour in the cling film.

Preheat the oven to 170 ° C. Roll out the dough with a rolling pin until it is 1/2 cm thick. Cut out the miners and place them on a griddle covered with parchment paper. Decorate with the nuts and brush with the egg yolk. Bake for about 15 minutes.
