Spice cake with ginger and raisins


A tasty Dutch recipe. The dessert contains the following ingredients: orange (scented), raisins, biscuit and gingerbread (20 g), wholemeal flour, baking powder, dark caster sugar, egg, kitchen syrup, milk, ginger ((240 g), finely chopped) and butter ( to grease).

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 175 ° C. Grate the orange zest of the orange and squeeze out the fruit. Heat the raisins in a saucepan with the orange juice and grater. Allow to cool. Mix the biscuits with the flour, the baking powder and the sugar. Break the egg above and add the syrup and milk. Stir with a whisk until smooth. Stir the ginger and the raisins with the juice through the batter. Pour the batter into the cake tin and place the mold 1 ridge under the center of the oven. Bake in about 75 minutes the cake brown and cooked. Allow to cool for 10 minutes. Remove the shape and let it cool down on a cake rack.
  2. The spice cake is even better if you let it rest for 1 day. Pack in aluminum foil.
