Heat the olive oil and fry the peppers, garlic and onion. Add the pasta sauce and gently simmer for 10 minutes.

Meanwhile, cook the pasta al dente. Drain and drain well.

Spoon the sauce through the pasta and serve with the mackerel. Sprinkle the dish with parsley.
