Spicy pea soup with bacon strips
A tasty Dutch recipe. The main course contains the following ingredients: meat, split peas (pack a 500 g), crumbly boiling potato, red peppers, leeks, red pepper, thin bacon strips (250 g), garlic and sunflower oil.

In a large pan, split peas with 1 3/4 liters of water, salt and pepper to the boil.

Approx.

Let it boil and froth slowly for 45 minutes.

Potato peel and cut into cubes.

Clean peppers and leeks and cut into strips.

Clean pepper, remove seeds and cut into thin strips.

Add the potato to peas and boil for another 30 minutes.

Fry the brown bacon in a dry frying pan and remove from the pan.

Heat oil in frying pan.

Add peppers, leeks and half of pepper.
-
Squeeze the garlic on top and stir-fry approx.

4 minutes.
-
Add bacon and vegetables to soup and stir.

Spread the soup over four plates and garnish with pepper.
