Cook or steam the potatoes in 15 to 20 minutes just until done but still firm. Let them cool and peel them.

Grate the potatoes on a coarse grater and shake them with 1-2 teaspoons of salt, the chilli, the garlic, the coriander and the egg.

Always heat a tablespoon of oil in a small frying pan of max. 20 cm ø and put a fourth of the potato mixture in the pan.

Press well into a flat cake. Turn the heat source to the lowest setting and let the cake with the lid on the pan bake for about 3 minutes.

Turn the cake over with a flat lid or plate and bake the other side for another 3 minutes. Bake 3 more cakes.
