Sprout stew with hazelnuts


A tasty Dutch recipe. The vegetarian main course contains the following ingredients: oil, onion (coarsely chopped), winter carrot (in slices), celeriac (diced), potatoes (in coarse pieces), Brussels sprouts (cleaned), vegetable stock tablet (crumbled), bay leaf, dried thyme, dry white wine and hazelnuts (75 g).

Directions

  1. Heat oil in frying pan.
  2. Onion and carrot for 2 minutes.
  3. Add celeriac, potatoes and sprouts and roast for 3 minutes.
  4. Add bouillon tablet, bay leaf and thyme.
  5. Add wine.
  6. Bring the cooking to the boil and lightly cook with a lid on the pan in 30 min.
  7. Spread hazelnuts until golden brown in dry frying pan.
  8. Let the nuts on the cutting board cool down and chop coarsely.
  9. Season the sprouts stew with salt and pepper.
  10. Remove bay leaf.
  11. Grate vegetables, with a little steam, over four deep plates.
  12. Sprinkle with hazelnuts.
  13. Tasty with dark wholemeal bread..
