Steak with poached egg


A tasty recipe. The main course contains the following ingredients: meat, garlic, steaks (a ca. 125 g), (freshly ground) pepper, vinegar, salt, butter, eggs (S) (at room temperature), lemon juice (freshly squeezed) and parsley.

Directions

  1. Peel the garlic and cut into strips. Spread the steak around with pepper and garlic. Leave the meat covered for approx. 30 minutes.
  2. Pour approx. 1 liter of water with vinegar and 3/4 tablespoon of salt into the pan. Meanwhile, heat butter in frying pan. Sprinkle meat with salt. Cook the meat with garlic in about 5 minutes, half-turn. In the meantime, break eggs one by one just above boiling water and let it slide gently. Maintain water against boiling and boil eggs for approx. 4 minutes. Place meat on hot plates. Serve lemon juice and 1 tablespoon of water with residual cooking fat and stir into stirring. Give gravy over meat. Remove egg with skimmer from pan and lay on meat. Garnish with twig of parsley. Delicious with (in olive oil) baked potatoes and stewed peas.
