Steamed chicken with carrot ribbons


A tasty recipe. The main course contains the following ingredients: poultry, chicken fillet, fresh ginger, soy sauce, winter carrots, spring onions (3 pieces), snow peas (cleaned), garden peas (pack a 450 g, frozen) and lemon (squeezed).

Directions

  1. Cut the chicken fillet into thin slices.
  2. Press the ginger with a firm garlic press, stir it through the soy sauce and scoop the whole through the chicken breast.
  3. Leave it for at least 5 minutes.
  4. In the meantime, peel the winter carrot and scrape it into long ribbons.
  5. Also cut the spring onion lengthwise in long strips.
  6. Place the chicken with the carrot ribbons in a steam basket or in a colander over a pan of boiling water.
  7. Steam the chicken with the lid on the pan for 2-3 minutes.
  8. Add the snow peas and garden peas and steam for another 10 minutes.
  9. Then steam for another 2 minutes.
  10. Divide the vegetables and chicken over 4 plates and drizzle with lemon juice and (freshly ground) pepper to taste.
  11. Tasty with boiled pandan rice..
