Step-by-step plate pizza

Plate pizza with flour, yeast and olive oil.

  1. Sift the flour over a large bowl. Shake the sieve back and forth so that the flour falls through the sieve.
  2. Shake the yeast above the bowl and shovel evenly through the sieved flour with a fork. Sprinkle the salt over the flour.
  3. Make a deep well in the flour with a fist or the convex side of a spoon and pour the olive oil and the lukewarm water into it.
  4. Mix the oil and water through the flour with one hand from the dimple with a circular motion, until a cohesive dough is created.
  5. Add some water if necessary. Sprinkle flour over a work surface and place the dough ball on it.
  6. Knead the dough through and press the palm flat, so that it is smooth, shiny and elastic after about 10 minutes.
  7. Grease a bowl with oil and place the dough ball in it. Cover the bowl with a wet tea towel.
  8. Place the bowl in a warm place (eg in windowsill or near heating) and let the dough rise for at least 1 hour, until it has doubled in volume.
  9. Preheat the oven to 250 ° C.
  10. Press the dough into the bowl again a little flat and place on the baking sheet. Dust the rolling pin with flour and roll out the dough into a rectangular piece.
  11. Press the dough with the knuckles of your hand 1 cm from the edge, so that a crisper edge is created.
  12. See tips: brush the dough with pizza sauce (from middle spreading, leaving the edges free) and divide the topping (3-4 types).
  13. Bake the plate pizza in the oven for about 10-12 minutes, until the pizza has golden brown edges, is cooked and crispy.
