Stew pears with berry gin and cinnamon.

Directions

  1. Peel the stew pears, cut the flour from the pears, but leave the stalk on it.
  2. Put the pears side by side in a (small) matching pan.
  3. Pour the water and add the cinnamon stick, lemon zest, lemon juice and berry gin or cassis liqueur.
  4. Bring everything to the boil and simmer the pears with the lid on the pan until done. They are done after about 45 minutes.
  5. Remove the pears from the pan and boil the moisture until about 150 ml is left. Pour the moisture over the pears.
  6. Serve them hot or cold, as a side dish for game or for example, a snack or as a dessert with, for example, crème fraîche and vanilla sugar.
