Stuffed apples with speculaas and vanilla custard
A tasty Dutch recipe. The vegetarian dessert contains the following ingredients: Campina vanilla custard.

Preheat the oven to 200 ° C.

Bring the raisins with the thyme and apple juice to a boil in a saucepan. Heat gently for about 5 minutes until the raisins have absorbed the moisture.

Put the cores out of the apples and make the cavities even bigger. Crumble the gingerbread cookies.

Spoon 3/4 of the speculaas through the raisins. Fill the apples with the raisin mixture, push well and place the apples side by side in the oven dish.

Spread the rest of the gingerbread over it and place a knob of butter on each apple. Allow the apples to cook in the middle of the oven for about 30 minutes.

Divide the vanilla custard over deep plates and place the stuffed apples in the middle of each plate.
