Directions

  1. Put the rice in a sieve and rinse under cold running water. Scoop in a pan with a thick bottom. Let stand for 10 minutes so that the rice absorbs some water.
  2. Add the water to the rice and bring to high heat on a high heat. Put the lid on the pan and cook on a high heat for 2 minutes.
  3. Place the heat medium and cook for 5 minutes. Then reduce the heat and cook for 12 minutes.
  4. Turn off the heat, remove the lid from the pan and cover the pan with a clean tea towel. Let stand for 15 minutes.
  5. By this way of cooking you let the rice grains gradually cooked to the core.
  6. In the meantime, heat the vinegar with the salt and sugar in a saucepan. Stir until the salt and the sugar are dissolved.
  7. Allow to cool to room temperature. Carefully pour the rice into a large, low dish and sprinkle the dressing over it.
  8. Carefully shovel the rice and fan during the shoveling. This gives the grains a nice shine.
  9. Process the rice if it is at room temperature.
