A tagine does not have a thick bottom and is therefore not suitable for baking. So first use a casserole and only in the second phase of this recipe a tagine. No tagine. Then prepare everything in the frying pan.

Heat the oil in a frying pan and fry the onions, the garlic, the ginger powder, the salt and the pepper. Add the meat and scald it on all sides. Now pour everything over into the tagine and put the tagine on a low heat.

Add the saffron threads, the paprika powder, the potato slices and a cup of hot water. Let everything simmer for about 50 minutes with the lid on.

Add the broad beans and let it cook for another 20 minutes. Sprinkle with sesame seeds just before serving and serve with couscous.
