The green happiness' beet burgers


Vegan burger of beets, onion, garlic, ras el hanout and chickpeas on spelled bread with cucumber, hummus and sprouts.

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 190 ° C.
  2. Grate the beets with a coarse grater. Slice the onions and garlic.
  3. Heat the olive oil in a frying pan and fry the onions and garlic for about 3 minutes until they are glazed.
  4. Rub the ras el hanout with a mortar if necessary. Add the beets and ras el hanout to the onions and fry for about 6 minutes on medium heat.
  5. Let the chickpeas drain, I do a bowl and puree with a hand blender.
  6. Spoon the beet mixture through the chickpeas and mix thoroughly. Season with pepper and salt.
  7. Prepare a burger per person of the mixture with wet hands, press well and spread over a baking sheet covered with parchment paper.
  8. Bake the burgers for 15 minutes in the middle of the oven. Turn around and cook for another 15 minutes.
  9. Meanwhile, cut the cucumber into slant slices and mix the sprout vegetables together.
  10. Cut the bread into a thick slice of approx. 2.5 cm per person. Halve that slices in width so that you have 2 slices per person.
  11. Spread each slice of bread with 1 tbsp hummus and spread the sprouts, burgers and cucumbers over half of the buns and cover with the rest of the buns.
