Turkey with honey, cinnamon and apple


Stuffed turkey with honey, cinnamon, apple, garlic and chili pepper.

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 175 ºC.
  2. Remove the elastic from the turkey. Cut the apple into quarters, remove the core and fill the turkey cavity with it.
  3. Melt the butter in a saucepan and let cool for 5 minutes from the heat.
  4. Squeeze the garlic and add the oil, honey, cinnamon and chili pepper to the butter. Brush the turkey with this mixture. Sprinkle with salt.
  5. Place the turkey with the breast upwards in the roasting pan. Put the rest of the garlic around it. Put in the middle of the oven.
  6. Baste every 20 min. With a spoon with the shortening. Roast the turkey for about 2 hours and 15 minutes.
  7. Check after 1 ½ hours regularly for doneness. Insert the meat thermometer into the turkey's breast. If it indicates 70 ºC, the turkey is cooked.
  8. Remove the turkey from the oven and let it rest for 15 minutes under aluminum foil before cutting.
