Cut the cleanly scrubbed lemon into thin slices. Heat sugar and water until the sugar is dissolved.

Let this boil slightly, put the lemon slices in it and cook gently for 5 minutes. Scoop out the lemon and allow to cool.

Soak the gelatin in cold water. Heat the milk and melt the chocolate with stirring.

Squeeze out the gelatine and dissolve it in the hot chocolate mixture. Allow to cool slightly to a lumpy mixture.

Divide the chocolate crumbs over the bottom of the glasses. Sprinkle the rum over it.

Fold the whipped cream through the chocolate mixture and scoop the mousse in the glasses.

Let them set in the fridge (this can all be done a day in advance).

Serve the dessert topped with the lemon slices, possibly halved.
