A tasty recipe. The side dish contains the following ingredients: wholemeal flour, dried yeast and olive oil.

Directions

  1. Mix in a bowl the flour with the yeast and 2 tsp salt. Add the olive oil and 150 ml of lukewarm water while stirring and mix everything into a coherent dough.
  2. Knead the dough on a greased worktop in approx. 8 minutes until it is supple and elastic. Form the dough into a ball and put the dough back into the bowl. Cover the bowl with the tea towel and let the dough rise for 4 hours.
  3. Put the dough on the work surface a few times so that the air is out. Divide the dough into 16 equal balls. Dust the work surface with flour. Roll out each ball into a thin round piece of approx. 8 cm. Place them on a flower-sprayed leaf and cover them with the tea towel. Let the rolls rise for about 30 minutes.
  4. Slide the baking sheet into the oven and preheat the oven to 250 ° C. Place 8 rolls on the hot baking sheet, sprinkle some water over them and fry the pita in about 7 minutes until golden brown and done. Put the warm pitas in a basket and bake the other 8 rolls in the same way. Tasty with tapas or with hummus.
