Ingredients
Directions
-
Mix in a bowl the flour with the yeast and 2 tsp salt. Add the olive oil and 150 ml of lukewarm water while stirring and mix everything into a coherent dough.
-
Knead the dough on a greased worktop in approx. 8 minutes until it is supple and elastic. Form the dough into a ball and put the dough back into the bowl. Cover the bowl with the tea towel and let the dough rise for 4 hours.
-
Put the dough on the work surface a few times so that the air is out. Divide the dough into 16 equal balls. Dust the work surface with flour. Roll out each ball into a thin round piece of approx. 8 cm. Place them on a flower-sprayed leaf and cover them with the tea towel. Let the rolls rise for about 30 minutes.
-
Slide the baking sheet into the oven and preheat the oven to 250 ° C. Place 8 rolls on the hot baking sheet, sprinkle some water over them and fry the pita in about 7 minutes until golden brown and done. Put the warm pitas in a basket and bake the other 8 rolls in the same way. Tasty with tapas or with hummus.
