D-Mannose in cystitis
-
Have you tried everything against your cystitis? Vitamin C, cranberry, antibiotics and does your cystitis keep returning? Try D-Mannose!
What is D-Mannose?
-
Most bladder infections are caused by the E.coli bacteria. This bacteria is very difficult to combat because it attaches to your bladder wall. This means that the bacteria will reappear at the slightest stimulus. For example, through stress, through sex, etc. The dietary supplement D-Mannose is attached to the E.Coli bacteria like another half of a velcro, which allows the bacteria to be flushed out with the urine. D-Mannose is a simple sugar, a type of glucose, which is also found in fruits such as the cranberry. It is up to 50 times stronger than cranberry. It is non-toxic and has no known side effects. It is not absorbed into your body. It also has Kosher Parve status (vegan). It is a natural product (not synthetic) and has no additives. It does not kill good bacteria or cause fungal infections. It is a white powder that you dissolve in water or another liquid (not coffee).
How often should you use D-Mannose?
-
This differs per situation. It depends on how often you have had a bladder infection and how established the bacteria is. You can use it if you have acute problems, but also as a maintenance product. Children and pets can also use D-Mannose. You only have to take into account the proportions, for example the weight.

-
No side effects are known. Nevertheless, it is wise to consult with your doctor during pregnancy, if you are breastfeeding or when taking medication. If your symptoms do not improve significantly within 24 hours, the bacteria that caused you the bladder infection is probably not E. Coli. In this case, go to the doctor.
