Scientific research into the effect of graviola

Due to claims from the world of natural medicine that graviola actually has health-promoting properties, scientific research has also been conducted into the effect of the fruit since the 1970s. The focus is in particular on the effect of the so-called acetogenins present in graviola. This is a type of fatty acid found exclusively in plants of the Annonaceae family. It has the ability to attack certain bad cells or free radicals in the body. For this reason, the fruit has also attracted the attention of cancer researchers who want to know if this substance can be used to fight tumors, including from the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York.
