Hypoglycemia Diet Tips

  1. Hypoglycaemia (hypoglycemia) is an unbalanced blood sugar level, which can sometimes even lead to type 2 diabetes. A Hypoglycemia Diet: a different diet or healthy nutrients can ensure that the blood sugar level is not overloaded. Other aspects, including a different lifestyle and additional nutritional supplements, vitamins, minerals, herbs, omega fatty acids can help to restore the balance of the blood sugar level and thus hypoglycaemia.

Hypoglycemia and blood sugar

  1. With hypoglycaemia, there are extreme fluctuations in the blood sugar level. In short: with hypoglycaemia there is an excessive release of insulin by the pancreas in response to, among other things, a high intake of (wrong) sugars from the diet. The sharp increase in insulin causes a sharp drop in blood sugar. This extreme decline must then be compensated (vicious circle). Due to this continuous fluctuating stimulation, the pancreas (and also adrenal gland) becomes overactive; which can become exhausted in the longer term. One seems to be more sensitive to it than the other (possibly partly due to a hereditary factor). In some people this even seems to eventually lead to diabetes dellitus, or type 2 diabetes

Hypoglycemia and stress

  1. Stress also seems to play an important role in the whole. The question, however, is whether this is a matter of the chicken or the egg. Stress can be a consequence of low blood sugar, but also a cause of it. Cause and effect are therefore not always easy to distinguish. One thing is certain: if you end up in a state of (too) low blood sugar, you are in a vicious circle. Do you want to know how this works for you, take the hypoglycemia test

Feeding Tips

  1. It is important to eat small meals regularly

Tip: cookbook hypoglycaemia

  1. Highly recommended for recipes / dishes that tie in with a hypoglycemia diet: 'Het Heden Ik cookboek' by Annemarie Reuzenaar (publisher: Kosmos). A book also written for ME / CV.
