Purchase Patchouli Oil
-
When purchasing patchouli oil, make sure it is a pure natural essential oil. This can be recognized by the indication '100% pure essential oil' on the label. In addition, the exact Latin botanical name of the original plant, in this case Pogostemon cablin or Pogostemon heyneanus, must be on it. The latter species is closely related to P. cablin, but has a slightly less strong odor. It is also known as 'Javanese patchouli'.
