Preservation is a method to keep foodstuffs for longer. You can think of packaging, special ways of production so that it lasts longer and many more things. There are different types of preservation, which are explained step by step below.

The most famous is cooling or deep freezing. We speak of cooling when it is between 4 and 7 degrees Celsius and deep freezing at a temperature lower than -18 degrees. Microorganisms are much less active at a lower temperature, so they do not multiply quickly. When refrigerated, foods such as fish and meat can be stored for several days. Vegetables can be kept for several weeks when refrigerated. With deep freezing, products can sometimes even be stored for years, this is often done in a freezer or in a cold store.
