Remove warts with duct tape (duck tape)

  1. Warts can be very annoying, especially if they are in places that are more stressed. There are many means on the market to remove them, but this often fails. Going to the doctor seems to be the only option, where other treatments are tried. They are not painless and do not always work. Trying to remove the wart yourself with duct tape may be the solution before the doctor comes in. And even doctors know that duct tape can work too.

Warts: annoying

  1. Most people have (had) warts at some point. Warts are caused by viruses; different types of viruses are responsible for the development of different types of warts. They often occur on feet and hands, and it is especially children and young people who suffer from verrucas

How does duct tape treat warts?

  1. Cut a piece of duct tape that is large enough to cover an extra 1 cm of space around the wart Stick the tape on the wart and leave it alone for 6 days Remove the tape after 6 days, soak the wart in warm water for about 5 minutes (the wart will become soft) Take a file, pumice stone, or scouring pad and file away as much of the wart as possible Leave uncovered overnight The next day, take another piece of tape and tape the wart again Repeat from step 3
