Anti-obesity pill in the making

Research at the University of Groningen has shown that volatile fatty acids in the liver and adipose tissue stimulate other tissues to burn more fat than to produce it. These volatile fatty acids are formed from dietary fiber by the bacteria in the intestines. It is still in the future, but in the long run a weight loss pill could be developed, which consists of a high concentration of volatile fatty acids. So for the time being, mainly eat and exercise healthy - and therefore high in fiber - to prevent obesity and diabetes. It is clear that developing overweight has everything to do with the intestines. You can read how to get a healthy intestinal flora in The Microbes Diet

Stress can make you fat
-
You sometimes hear someone say that she or he is getting fat from the stress and you tend to shrug your shoulders and think to yourself: yes, yes ... Yet stress can be a fattening factor to be. This is how it is: the stress hormone cortisol is encouraged to retain fat at the wrong stress level, even if you eat little and exercise a lot. In addition, excessive stress affects the health of the intestines, possibly resulting in a 'leaky gut'; this leaky gut in turn causes inflammatory reactions which are responsible for weight gain. Stress also disrupts the microbiome, causing even more stress. And so it becomes a vicious circle: stress causes a disrupted microbiome; a disrupted microbiome causes disrupted metabolism and the latter causes weight gain. Research has shown that probiotics help keep the intestinal flora healthy, improving brain function when it comes to depression, anxiety and stress. Eating without stress also helps with weight loss and you can do it like this: mindful eating (eating with attention), calling up gratitude and appreciation for what you eat, eating with love (chewing, enjoying the flavors, eating slowly, slow food) . Relaxed eating interrupts chronic stress and stimulates fat burning. Understandably, scaring away junk food from television is bad business!
