Compote of apples, ginger and honey.

Directions

  1. Peel the apples, cut each in 4 pieces and remove the core. Then cut the quarters into small pieces.
  2. Peel and grate the ginger. Put the apple pieces, water, honey, herbs and lemon juice in a large pan and bring to the boil.
  3. Turn the heat down, place the lid diagonally on the pan and simmer for 15 minutes. Stir occasionally.
  4. Remove the lid from the pan and turn off the heat. Allow to cool.
