Preheat the oven to 200 ºC.

Peel the apples and remove the core. Cut the flesh into blocks of ½ x ½ cm (brunoise). Put in a large bowl.

Grate the orange skin of the scrubbed orange and crumble the almond paste over the bowl. Add the cranberries and sugar. Shovel.

Place the thawed slices of puff pastry on a baking tray covered with parchment paper. Divide the filling over half of the slices, but keep the edges free.

Beat the egg loose and brush the edges with half of the egg. Fold the dough diagonally and press the edges with the teeth of a fork.

Brush the f with the rest of the egg and sprinkle with the sugar. Bake for about 25 minutes in the middle of the oven until golden brown and done.
