Apple-sprouts stew with bratwurst

Directions

  1. Peel the potatoes and cut into equal pieces. Boil in water with salt if necessary for 20 minutes. Drain.
  2. In the meantime, heat the oil in a frying pan and fry the sausages on high heat all around.
  3. Turn down the heat and fry for 12 minutes. Times regularly.
  4. Meanwhile cut the bottom of the sprouts and remove the outer leaves. Halve them and cook in approx. 8 minutes until al dente. Drain.
  5. Let the potatoes in the pan cook on the smallest pit on low heat in 2 minutes dry. The less moisture in the potatoes, the lighter the puree.
  6. In the meantime, heat the milk in a saucepan over low heat, but do not let it boil.
  7. Mash the potatoes with the puree tamper. Add the milk and butter and stir lightly with a whisk until the butter is completely melted.
  8. Season with the nutmeg, pepper and salt.
  9. Cut the apple chips into small pieces and stir carefully with the sprouts through the stew.
