Beef in coconut sauce

A delicious indonesian recipe. The side dish contains the following ingredients: meat, onion (chopped), garlic, red pepper (seed strips removed), ground turmeric, skimmed beef patties (diced), sunflower oil, lime (scrubbed), coconut milk (400 ml) and chicken stock.

Directions

  1. Put the onion, garlic, red pepper and turmeric in the food processor and puree for 1 min.
  2. Sprinkle the meat with salt and pepper. Heat the oil in a frying pan and fry the meat in brown for 3 minutes. Add the onion garlic puree (boemboe) and cook for 3 minutes. Turn off the heat. Grate the green skin of the lime over the meat, squeeze out the fruit and pour in the juice. Add the coconut milk, 500 ml of water and the bouillon tablet. Leave to simmer for 4 hours without the lid on the smallest of stubs. Add some more water if the dish becomes too dry. Delicious with coriander and some extra red pepper in strips.
  3. You can prepare the beef 1 day in advance. Preheat before serving on low heat.
