Beet burgers


A tasty Dutch recipe. The main course contains the following ingredients: meat, white bread (without crust), boiled beet ((500 g), peeled), minced beef, egg (beaten), ketchup (extra for the burgers), olive oil, kaiser rolls (bake bread) and carrots julienne (150 g).

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 200 ° C. Soak the bread in 4 tbsp water. Cut 1 beet into tiny cubes (brunoise). Mix this with the mince, egg and 2 tbsp ketchup. Squeeze the bread, knead through the minced meat and add pepper and salt. Form 4 citizens with wet hands. Heat 2 tbsp oil in a frying pan and fry the burgers in 10 min. Turn halfway.
  2. Meanwhile, bake the rolls in the oven according to the instructions on the package. Cut the rest of the beetroot into slices. Halve the buns and place some carrot julienne, a few slices of beet, a beet burger and ketchup between each roll. Make a salad from the rest of the beet and carrot. Drizzle with 2 tbsp oil. The beet burgers are also tasty with a leaf of lettuce in between.
