Brussels apples
A tasty recipe. The dessert contains the following ingredients: apples (fresh and firm (eg Jazz)), forest fruit jam, milk, butter (extra to grease), flour (sifted), white caster sugar and eggs.

Preheat the oven to 190 ºC. Peel the apples and remove the core with the apple drill. Cut the apples horizontally into 3 slices and divide them over the greased oven dish. Spoon 1 tsp jam in the middle of each slice.

Bring the milk to the boil with half of the butter in a saucepan. Add the flour and stir with a whisk or wooden spatula until a smooth dough is created. Remove the pan from the heat and stir in the remaining butter, the sugar and 1 by 1 the eggs.

Pour the dough over the apples and bake for about 40 minutes in the middle of the oven until golden brown and done. Remove from the oven, cool slightly and cut into 20 cubes. Tasty with powdered sugar and cinnamon.
