Directions

  1. Place the strawberries in a colander and rinse them under cold running water.
  2. Let the strawberries drain well.
  3. Meanwhile, clean the orange under running water and dry it well again.
  4. Grate the orange skin thinly with a fine grater.
  5. Halve the orange and squeeze the fruit.
  6. Put the mascarpone in a bowl.
  7. Add the icing sugar and two to three tablespoons orange juice and stir the mascarpone into a creamy mixture.
  8. Stir in the orange zest as well.
  9. Cut six strawberries in length in four.
  10. Then slice the rest of the strawberries into pieces.
  11. Spoon the strawberry pieces through the mascarpone.
  12. Toast the slices of bread in a toaster at the same time.
  13. Or spread the slices thinly buttered on both sides and roast them in a hot grill pan until they have nice brown stripes on both sides.
  14. Cut the slices of bread diagonally in half.
  15. Spread each half slice generously with the strawberry mascarpone.
  16. Place three slices per plate and sprinkle with chocolate flakes and glitter sugar.
  17. Finally garnish each slice with two pieces of strawberry.
