Chop with onions-tomato gravy


A tasty Dutch recipe. The main course contains the following ingredients: meat, shoulder chops, butter, onions (in rings), tomato cubes (a 400 g), garlic, thyme (a 15 g), (table) potatoes (chilled and 800 g).

Directions

  1. Sprinkle the pork chops with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat the butter in a frying pan and fry the meat around brown.
  3. Remove the meat from the pan and keep it warm under aluminum foil.
  4. Fry the onion rings in 4-5 minutes until light brown.
  5. Add the tomato cubes with the moisture.
  6. Squeeze the garlic on top and riset the thyme over the pan of the sprigs.
  7. Keep 3 sprigs of thyme behind.
  8. Bring the whole to the boil and put the meat back in the pan.
  9. Cook the meat on low heat with the lid on the pan in 15-20 min.
  10. turn the meat halfway.
  11. Boil the potatoes in a bottom of water with salt, with the lid on the pan in 10-12 min.
  12. Drain the potatoes and divide them over four plates.
  13. Spoon the pork chops into onion-tomato gravy, put the sprigs of thyme on them and serve immediately.
  14. Also tasty with green beans! ..
