In a deep plate, beat the eggs with the milk and season with salt and pepper. Take the slices of bread through the egg-milk mixture and let it lie in it.

Heat a skillet without oil or butter and fry the bacon in 5 minutes until golden brown and crispy. Drain on kitchen paper.

Fry the French toast in the remaining shortening in parts in 6 min. Golden brown and crispy. Turn halfway.

Add extra oil if the pan gets too dry.

Divide the French toast and the bacon over the plates. Drizzle with the maple syrup and garnish with the cress.
