Fresh and dried fruit in red wine syrup
A tasty Spanish recipe. The vegetarian dessert contains the following ingredients: oranges, red wine, sugar, cinnamon stick, cloves, apples (Elstar), hand pears, tutti frutti (à 500 g) and peeled (unsalted) pistachio nuts (50 g).
1 Slightly clean the orange under running water and cut off the orange peel of approx. 5 cm. Bring wine with orange zest, sugar, cinnamon stick and cloves to the boil. Put the fire down a little and let it boil slightly in approx. 5 minutes. In between, peel apples and pears and cut into wedges. Peel oranges thickly to flesh and cut into slices. Add frutti to wine syrup and boil for about 5 minutes. Add fresh fruit and cook completely on low heat for approx. 20 minutes until fruit is tender, shovel regularly. Allow fruit to cool in syrup and refrigerate until used.
Chop the pistachio coarsely. Fry the fruit with syrup (arrope) into bowls and sprinkle with pistachio nuts.
