Goat's cheese topped with chicory
Chicory dish from the oven with bacon au gratin with Dutch goat cheese and sesame seeds.

Preheat the oven grill.

Cut the underside of the stalk chicory and cut the chicory in half. Remove the hard core.

Boil the chicory in plenty of boiling water with a little salt in 5 minutes until al dente. Drain in a colander.

Grease a low oven dish. Place the pieces of chicory with the convex side up next to each other in the greased dish.

Cut the bacon into strips and grate the goat's cheese. Spread the bacon and the goat cheese over it and sprinkle the dish with sesame seeds.

Slide the dish under the hot grill and let the cheese melt in approx. 5 minutes and turn golden brown.
