Herring cucumber tartare
A tasty Dutch recipe. The snack contains the following ingredients: fish, Dutch new herring (2 pieces), sweet-sour gherkins (340 g), cucumber (peeled), mayonnaise, crème fraîche (125 ml cup) and cabbage lettuce.
Cut the herring and gherkins into cubes of 1/2 cm (brunoise). Halve the cucumber lengthwise, remove the seed tables with a teaspoon and cut into 1/2 cm cubes.
Mix the herring with the onions from the packaging, the pickle, cucumber, mayonnaise and crème fraîche. Season with salt and pepper.
Remove the outer leaves from the lettuce. Take 4 beautiful leaves from the heart of the crop, spread over 4 plates and spoon in the herring tartar. Tasty with some finely chopped chives.
