Japanese tempura chop
A nice Japanese recipe. The starter contains the following ingredients: meat, minced meat (half-to-half), fresh ginger (very finely chopped), soy sauce, sesame oil, medium dry sherry, deep-frying oil and tempura mix.

Knead the mince with the ginger and to taste salt and pepper very firmly. Shape small balls and store them in the refrigerator until use. For the dip, mix soy sauce with sesame oil and sherry.

Heat the frying oil to 170 C. Prepare the batter mixture according to the instructions.

Roll half of the meatballs through the batter and let them slide into the oil. Fry the balls in approx. 3 minutes until lightly browned and done. Let them drain on kitchen paper. Bake the rest of the balls in the same way.

Serve the tempura balls with the dip sauce.
