Marinated sweet and sour tah tsai


A nice Chinese recipe. The vegetarian side dish contains the following ingredients: tah tsai (or paksoi, in bars of 4 cm), peanut oil, sesame oil, dried chili pepper (finely chopped), four seasons pepper (crushed), sugar, rice vinegar, fresh ginger root (minced) and garlic (finely chopped) .

Directions

  1. Put the ttsai in pan and pour boiling water on it.
  2. Drain the vegetables after 30 seconds and repeat in a bowl.
  3. Fry peanut oil and sesame oil in frying pan and fry chili pepper and four seasons pepper for 30 seconds.
  4. Pour oil over vegetables.
  5. Stir in sugar, vinegar, ginger and garlic.
  6. Season with salt.
  7. Allow to stand at room temperature for at least 2 hours.
  8. Before serving pour marinade..
