Dutch meatballs with onion.

Cut the crusts of the bread. Place the slices in a deep plate and sprinkle the milk over it. Let the bread soak for about 5 minutes.

Chop the onion finely. Put the minced meat in a bowl. Squeeze out the bread and cut into pieces. Add it to the minced meat.

Break the egg above it. Add the onion and season with pepper, salt and nutmeg.

Mix everything well and knead through the mince. Divide the minced meat into equal portions and form with moist hands until smooth balls.

Roll the meatballs through the breadcrumbs. Heat the butter in a frying pan until the foam dries.

Fry the meatballs on high heat around brown. Carefully turn with a spatula.

Pour the tomato juice along the edge of the pan and pour in the water. Roast the meatballs in a roughly 25 min. With a lid at an angle on the pan until done.

Turn occasionally.
