Meatballs from restaurant belga queen


A tasty recipe. The main course contains the following ingredients: meat, minced meat (half-to-half), eggs, shallots (chopped), fresh parsley ((30 g), finely chopped), bread crumbs (pack of 150 g), flour, white raisins (bag 375) g), butter, onion (chopped), Maestrichter fruit syrup (pot 450 g), blue plum jam (pot 450 g) and red wine vinegar.

Directions

  1. Mix the mince with the eggs, shallots and parsley. Add pepper and salt to taste. Mix in the breadcrumbs and knead everything well. Turn 12 balls with moist hands. Put 4 tbsp flour on a plate and roll the balls through the flour. Mix the raisins with 150 ml of warm water.
  2. Heat 25 g of butter in a frying pan. Fry the balls over medium heat in 5 min. Brown. Take them out of the pan and put them on a plate.
  3. Add the rest of the butter and fry the onion for 3 minutes in the same pan. Add the rest of the flour and stir well. Add the raisins with the water, the syrup and the jam. Bring to the boil, so that the syrup melts and the sauce thickens. Add the meatballs and let them cook over a very low heat for about 25 minutes. Add a little boiling water if the sauce becomes too thick. Season the sauce with plenty of pepper and red wine vinegar to taste. Delicious with lettuce and Flemish fries.
