Red cabbage stew with spiced sausages


Stew of red cabbage with apple, red onion and apple syrup with seasoned sausages and gravy with onions.

Directions

  1. Peel the potatoes, cut into cubes and boil in water with salt in 12 min. Until done.
  2. Heat the red cabbage according to the instructions on the package. Meanwhile, cut the red onion.
  3. Heat the oil in a frying pan and fry the sausages in 5 min. Brown and done.
  4. Heat the rest of the oil in a small frying pan and fry the onion for 1 min. Add the syrup, gravy mix and the water.
  5. Bring the gravy to the boil while stirring with a whisk and simmer for 1 min.
  6. Drain the potatoes. Stamp them coarse with the puree rammer. Spoon in the red cabbage and half of the gravy. Season with pepper.
  7. Put the stew on the plates. Make a well and pour in the rest of the gravy. Put the sausages there.
