Melon curls with parma ham and basil
A tasty Italian recipe. The gluten-free starter contains the following ingredients: meat, melon (not too ripe, with firm flesh) and traditional olive oil.

Place the basil leaves on top of each other, roll them up lengthwise and cut them into wafer-thin strips with a sharp knife.

Cut the melon into quarters and remove the seeds. Cut the flesh from the peel and scrape with a cheese slicer into erratic slices.

Spoon the melon in a bowl with the basil, the vinegar and some coarsely ground pepper. Allow the flavors to withdraw for at least 15 minutes.

Heat a bottom of oil in a very small pan.

Dip the remainder of the basil leaves with some at the same time in the oil and fry the leaves for about 30 seconds, until they are glassy and crispy.

Scoop the leaves out of the oil with a fork or a small slotted spoon and drain on kitchen paper.

Cut the ham into strips and spread with the marinated melon curls over the plates. Garnish the plates with the fried basil.
