Pineapple Fritters
A tasty Dutch recipe. The pastry contains the following ingredients: flour, eggs, sunflower oil, beer (bottle 330 ml), pineapple and powdered sugar.

Sift the flour over a large bowl. Make a well in the middle and put 1 pinch of salt, 1 egg and the oil in it. Stir in a few times from the outside to the inside and add the beer while stirring. Cover the bowl with a clean tea towel and leave to rest for 1 hour in a warm, draft-free place.

Heat the oil in the deep fryer or large pan to 180 ºC. If necessary, check the temperature with the kitchen thermometer. Split 2 eggs and whisk the egg whites. Carefully scoop them through the batter. Cut the bottom and crown of the pineapple and cut off the peel. Cut the pineapple in width in 10 equal slices. Remove the hard core with a knife.

Pour the pineapple through the batter, drain and put in the fryer. Fry in portions in 5 min. Golden brown. Turn halfway.

Drain the fritters on kitchen paper and sprinkle with icing sugar. Serve warm, lukewarm or cold.
