Red beets and apple with plum gravy
A tasty Dutch recipe. The main course contains the following ingredients: meat, (sunflower) oil, grandmother's meatball (a 225 g), onions (chopped), large potatoes (slightly crumbly (bag 3 kg), peeled), red beets (cooked (500 g), peeled), freshly sour apples (in half slices), gravy (light (20 g)) and prunes (bag 500 g).

Heat the oil in a frying pan and fry the meatballs around brown in about 8 minutes. Lower the heat, add the onion and roast the meatballs in 20 min. Until done, turn occasionally.

Cut the potatoes into quarters, put them in 300 ml water and cook them over low heat for 20 minutes until done. Scrape the beets into thin slices. Put the meatballs from the pan on a plate and keep them warm under aluminum foil. Spoon the beets and apples into the pan with onion and cook for about 5 minutes, scoop occasionally. Season with salt.

Cut the soaked plums into strips. Prepare the gravy according to the instructions on the package and stir in the plum strips. Serve the red beets and apple with the potatoes and the meatballs with plum gravy.
