Cook the rigatoni al dente according to the instructions on the package. Cut the onions in half and then into thin half rings.

Heat a large frying pan or frying pan over a high heat. Fry the bacon strips until they start to color lightly.

Turn the heat a bit lower, add the onions and fry them until cooked in 10-12 minutes until golden brown.

Scoop the onion-bacon mixture through the pasta. Season with salt and pepper. Serve immediately.
