Boil the potatoes in water with salt according to the instructions on the package.

Divide the smoked mackerel fillets into pieces. Cut the tomatoes into pieces. Mix the tomato with the oil, thyme, pepper and salt.

Drain the potatoes, collect a cup of cooking liquid. Mash the potatoes with the puree tamper.

Add the dairy spread and so much cooking water until a creamy puree is formed. Chop the onion. Spoon the mackerel, rocket and onion through the mash. Add pepper.

Put the stew on 4 plates. Serve with the tomato salad.
