Sauerkraut dish with minced meat and apple
Dutch dish with bacon strips, minced meat, sauerkraut, mashed potatoes and apples.

Preheat the oven to 200 ° C.

Bake the thin bacon strips, add the minced meat and fry it. Drain the fat and collect it.

Season the minced meat with the thyme, half the cinnamon powder and pepper to taste.

Divide the sauerkraut over the oven dish and scoop the minced meat mixture.

Divide the mashed potatoes over it.

Cut the apples (unpeeled) into rings.

Place the apple rings on top of the oven dish and sprinkle with some cinnamon powder.

Drizzle the whole with the shortening of the minced meat and bake the dish for about 20 minutes in the oven, so that the top turns nicely golden brown.

Divide the dish over the plates.
