Senegalese pastels (fried snacks)
A tasty recipe. The snack contains the following ingredients: fish, For the dough :, self-raising flour, butter, egg, milk, For the filling :, cod fillet (in pieces), leeks (in pieces), garlic (finely chopped), bay leaves, oil to fatten and sunflower oil (for frying).

Knead the ingredients for the dough well.

Let the dough rest for about 10 minutes.

Bring the ingredients for the filling into a pan with a small layer of water and pepper and salt to taste.

Let it boil gently for about 10 minutes.

Drain the water and puree the ingredients into a fine mixture.

Allow to cool.

Roll the dough thinly on an oil-greased surface.

Cut pieces of approximately 6 x 8 cm from the dough.

Put 1 tablespoon filling in the middle and fold the dough together as a package.

Press the edges closed with a fork.

Heat a layer of oil in a deep pan and deep-fry the pastels in approx.

5 minutes.

Turn them occasionally.

Delicious with a dip of red (tomato) sauce..
